Pageant News Unveiled at A Pageant Affair in Buford was introduced to a crowd of a nearly 100 guests at “A Pageant Affair”, a new pageant related event hosted by Girli Girl Prom & Pageant in Buford. The evening mixer was a huge success! This three hour event entertained guests that included Pageant Directors, Industry Professionals and reigning Queens and their families.

Girli Girl set up a photo booth with props for guests to take pictures and gave each participant a bag with goodies.

More than a dozen raffle prizes were awarded which included donated items such as gift certificates for pageant-related services and entry fees, a crown, gift bags, a make-up palette and more. The most sought after items were a black and white striped over-sized Betsy Johnson bag and a gift bag donated by Studio 93 in Buford that contained over $150 in Bumble and Bumble product. It was great to see the smiles of the winners as they received their spoils.

Girli Girl owner, Tracy Hurd, sincerely expressed what she sees pageants do for girls to a crowd that filled the bottom level of her store. “You can see what the pageant system does [for our girls]…the interview…the appearance…you can tell right then if she’s a pageant girl or not a pageant girl,” said Ms. Hurd. was well received by the Pageant Directors in attendance. They and the pageant parents feel that is a much needed resource in the pageant industry. “It’s just so hard to find pageants. I surf Facebook hoping to find something!” complained one parent. hopes to fill that gap and be the source for pageant listings, news and resources in and around the Atlanta area, Georgia and beyond. is currently undergoing testing and should be ready for the pageant community soon.
